The process of commissioning a made-to-measure overcoat begins with the first fitting at our Helsinki Kämp Galleria store. During this fitting, the fabric for the made-to-measure overcoat is selected from numerous options. Our selection includes offerings from some of the world's best overcoat fabric manufacturers, including Loro Piana, Dormeuil, Vitale Barberis Canonico, and Dugdale Bros.

At this stage, it's good to discuss the intended use of the made-to-measure overcoat and any preferences regarding fit. This helps the tailor guide the selection of the overcoat fabric in the right direction. Once the fabric itself is chosen, decisions are made regarding the lining fabric for the overcoat, as well as the colors for buttons and any embroidered initials. Next, attention is turned to more visible details, such as the collar style, the number of buttons, and the pocket design. Following this, a trial overcoat is selected to serve as the basis for constructing the customer's unique pattern, incorporating various adjustments and minor alterations.

Mittatilauspäällystakin toisessa sovituksessa käymme läpi yksityiskohdat sekä kaavan ja teemme tarvittavat pienet korjaustyöt jotka tallennamme asiakkaan profiiliin seuraavia tilauksia varten. Tästä noin viikon kuluttua on mittatilauspäällystakki valmis ja luovutetaan asiakkaalle käyttöön.

Hundreds of Fabric Options

We offer a wide range of overcoat fabric options, including brushed wool fabrics, covert, tweed, and various technical fabrics. Additionally, there are multiple options for lining, pockets, and collar styles, such as different solid colors and patterned viscose and cupro lining fabrics. You can choose between flap and patch pockets, peak lapel, and notch lapel in different widths.

Materials

We use fabrics from some of the finest Italian and English fabric manufacturers for our overcoats. These include the luxurious Loro Piana, the elegant Vitale Barberis Canonico, established in 1663, and the playful yet modern Drago. Our fabric selection encompasses options suitable for both winter and transitional seasons. Materials include 100% wool, wool-cashmere blends, and modern technical fabrics.

Buttons & Other Details

We offer the option of embroidered initials, with several color choices available. You can also choose buttons and other visible details, such as corozo and horn buttons in various colors. Additional features include a ticket pocket, functional sleeve buttons, and half lining.

Delivery & Handover

The typical delivery time for a made-to-measure overcoat is approximately 8-10 weeks (holidays may affect delivery times).

Please note that made-to-measure items are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.

Care Instructions

Our overcoats should be dry cleaned by a professional specializing in suits, and steamed at a low temperature. Additional care instructions can be found on the coat's care label.
